Started the blanket with a magic ring of 6 stitches and made a solid hexagon to 36 stitches. From there I found the matching stitch count that would work for the blanket and started the pattern from there. I did blo stitches to create some ocean-y texture

Made the squid butt with another 6 stitch magic ring, working up to 36 stitches. Added a few rounds to make it a cup.

Regular tentacles were made with a chain (around 32 stitches but all were different lengths) and then slip stitched back to the beginning. Starting tail and ending tail pulled into the squid butt cup and tied together, woven in for a few stitches, then tied again. The cup was attached to the underside of the hexagon and stuffed.

Big tentacles were just 4 stitch tubes and 6-9-12 cones for the grabbies

Attached the big arms on the top side of the hexagon in a way that made it for me to attach my yarn on the top side and worked in the round. I increased the round to 42 stitches and I should not have done that since I didn’t do it on the bottom so it feels a bit uneven.

Eyes are black magics on white hexies.

Mantle was a 6+3 ring increased to about 72 stitches. Narrowed the head and closed it up at 12 stitches and added the mantle on top.

Seafoam at the outer edge of the blanket sc, 3dc in next sc 1 sc in next sc

Foam by the head is the same but with 5 dc

Weave in the ends and get it out
