I was so honoured to be asked to help Tasha test knit this pattern, it was about time I had some Fair Isle colour work for greedy old me!

I just love this pattern look at the Morse code (dot, dot, dot, dash) and all those Victory V’s how fabulous!

I chose to knit mine in the odds and ends of 4ply acrylic yarn I had left over form knitting my Brother’s and my Dads Pullovers, so I have lost track which yarn is which, but I think the colour scheme worked out really well.

I should point out that I neglected to remember when test swatching (on dpns) that when I changed to a circular needle my tension tends to increase a fair bit, so I could have easily gone down a needle size (or two) lesson learnt for next time!

Also the acrylic I used does not hold its shape quite as well as the lovely Excelana Yarn used in the original, but I think its still very lovely and just the ticket for a crisp country walks in the Autumn sunshine!
