Notes

A friend of mine commissioned a baby sweater for one of her friends. They decided not to find out if they are having a boy or a girl (idk, why!?) so we decided to go for a more natural and thus neutral look.

I picked out a hand-spun, undyed alpaca yarn at Recycled Lamb (love that place!). I got a great deal and have so much yarn that I could make several baby sweaters with it. The color reminds me of hot cocoa with cream :D

I’ve made so many top-down baby sweaters that I decided to wing this one and go without a pattern. I’m doing the sleeves on dpns. The button band will be done last in rib st.

Feb 6 - I just need to sew on the buttons now. And make a hat to match.

Oh yeah and wow, what an alpaca odor when this sweater is wet! I always pre-wash the things I knit, just to be sure that they won’t get ruined when I give them away.
