I bought this yarn at a garage sale a few summers ago. I don’t know what it is, but I have a suspicion that it’s Simply Soft. The headband was simply sc into the back loop until I had about 13 inches un-stretched. It stretches several inches larger so should fit newborn to 6 months at least. The flower is an Irish rose motif. I plan on sewing a large pink button for the center of the rose.

This is the kind of pattern that if I make one, I have to make one for my daughter as well in a larger size.

It’s done! I used a vintage button from Betty’s stash for the center of the rose. Very pretty in my opinion, it has an opalescent look that complements the colors of the yarn perfectly.
