Notes

8/27: Also used some popcorn-stitch blocks from the Cable Stitch Sampler Afghan and the Sticks & Stones 6 inch block (with a larger hook and I think an extra row at the end).

6/24: Some of the blocks are repeated in the pattern booklet but I am going to use other crochet blocks from other sources instead.

I have done a few rows of Arms of Strength, and I’ve decided to rip and skip it. IMO just having FPHDC columns every other row does not make this a cabled block, and I want all cables, darnit. So for this reason I am also skipping Straight Cable Columns. Cables in knitting move across the work. They aren’t static. I know having a column of front post stitches sort of looks like a cable because of how it twists, but it’s static. There’s no movement. Boring!

I am also not going to do “Annie’s Square for Pam” or “Micro-Cable Textured Square” because those don’t even have front-post stitches, let alone stitches that cross other stitches like a cable ought.

6/15: Block 1 is really going to need a good steaming. It’s pretty warped.

For the 2nd block, I used an H as directed and it came out a lot bigger than blocks 1 and 3 did, so I’m ripping it out and re-doing in the G like the other two.
