Viking Waves of Death! Well, not really. The pattern is inspired by the Pacific Northwest coastline but I didn’t clue into the fact that by knitting the body in a jewel tone red, it would create red tinted waves as well. At first, I was really disappointed but soon got over myself, laughing over the idea of Viking Waves of Death.

Knit from Knit Picks Swish DK and while it was an inexpensive workhorse yarn with lots of color options, I found it to be splitty and a bit problematic. It’s good for hats, especially for kids, but I doubt I’ll knit an adult size garment out of it again.

Casting on! So excited.

Concerned the arms will be too big in the upper arm, based on other reviews.

09/19 - Finished body and first half of first sleeve. Stopped increasing at 74 stitches.

10/9 - Opted to not do the short rows in the back and made the collar ribbing only half the size. I really didn’t want it to be hugging my neck. It worked out perfectly. :-)
