Because I was doing this to go with Good Old Raglan Sweater, I decided to knit in stockinette. My row count would have made it too large because the original is knit in garter so at the point where I needed to decrease 10 more stitches, I decreased every row to 15 st rather than 20 eliminating 8 rows. Put a little I cord tab at the centre.

Turned out very cute.
