I knit this sweater twice! The first time the sweater was too small. Yikes! I recommend knitting a size larger than the persons measurements. Unless you want a skin tight sweater. I’m glad I knit it larger and for a second time. I used a salvage edge the second time around (not in the pattern directions) and used that edge to hide the zipper edge. Also, I did not like the crochet edging for the zipper. You will see that I added a ribbed edged with an i-cord bind-off. I think it looks much nicer. This is a wonderfully warm and handsome sweater.
