Modified Instructions:
Yoke:
Cast on 108 sts in blue/purple color using a US 8 circular needle, place BO marker and join in the round and k 6 rnds
Change to Black and k 1 rnd.
Change to US 6 circular needle and work k2, p2 rib for 5 rnds.
Change to US 8 circular needle and add German Short rows in the back to raise the back of the neck.
Now work YOKE chart. Once the chart is complete you should have 288 sts.
Continue in Main color until you have the desired yoke depth. Then split for sleeves. Try on the sweater and determine where to place the sleeves. You will likely want more stitches in front to accommodate for the bust. Best estimate: From Center back to start of sleeve, K 40 sts, place 56 sts on hold for the sleeve, CO 14 underarm sts, 96 sts for body front, Place 56 sts on hold for the second sleeve, CO 14 underarm sts, K 40 sts to center back.
Separate sleeves and body:
Next rnd: K ____ , place ____ sleeve stitches on a holder or waste yarn, using the backward loop cast on, CO 7 sts, pm, 7 sts, ____ front sts, place ____ sleeve stitches on a holder or waste yarn, using the backward loop cast on, CO 7 sts, pm, 7 sts, knit to BOR marker (Center Back of Sweater. (204 sts for body). Knit Body to the desired length remembering to accommodate for the extra length the bottom color work will add. Also, plan for a split hem and longer in back.
Knit Body Chart. Change to US 6 circularfor 2x2 ribbing. Consider finishing with a rolled edge in the blue/purple color. Change to US 8 circular needle and and k 7 rows. BO loosely.
Sleeves (both alike):
Begining at the center of underarm, pick up and knit 7 sts from underarm CO, knit across sleeve stitches, pick up and knit 7 sts from underarm CO, place marker for BOR. 70 sts for sleeve.
Work in Stockinette stitch in the round until sleeve measures 3” from underarm.
Next round (dec rnd): K2, k2tog, k to 4 sts before m, ssk, k2. (2 sts dec’d)
Repeat dec rnd every 8th round 13 more times (44 sts rem). Knit to the desired length remembering to accommodate for the extra length the bottom color work will add.
Cuffs (both alike):
Knit Sleeve Cuff Chart. Change to US 6 circular needle and work k2, p2 rib for 5 rnds.
Change to US 8 circular needle and Change to blue/purple color and k 7 rnds. BO loosely.

The arms were too wide and there was plenty of room in the chest, so I ripped back and removed the 14 CO sts at each underarm.
So each sleeve has 56 sts and the body has a total of 176.
