The yarn usage is an estimate. I used yarn that I had in my stash leftover from another project.

A lovely touque. I knit size large. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. The touque is loved by both my husband and daughter. It matches my husband’s coat, so he’s claiming the hat.

Notes from me: I needed to use a size 1 needle for the stockinette section of the brim and then I moved down to a size zero needle for the ribbing section on the brim. I switched to a size 2 needle for the rest of the hat. I did not need to change needle sizes for the stranded colorwork. I did knit a full 8-inches from the bottom edge of the brim before decreasing. I also use a provisional cast-on where you leave an extra circular needle attached to the beginning of the work so there is no need to pick up stitches when joining both layers of the brim (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpAho-NvDFs).
