Notes

Learned to do a provisional cast on for this project.

Modifications:
Knit 62 rows for garter stitch portion. Picked up 33 stitches and CO 12 stitches for the thumb. Knit 57 rows before binding off with Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.

The instructions say to slip the first stitch of each row when knitting the garter stitch portion. I found that just knitting all the stitches (next-to-last picture) gave a firmer fabric and neater edge than slipping the 1st stitch (last picture), so I did that.
