This is DAMson, emphasis on the first syllable. I started four separate times, mostly because I’d get confused about what row I was on; but once I got past row 20 the 4th time I sailed along smoothly until the yarn ran out. I substituted some handspun and it’s good to go. It blends pretty well, I guess. Probably will end up as a gift. We had a snowstorm just in time for the photo shoot.

2/22/11 Finished, but I added a homespun single black with white wool/mohair to finish the last five rows. It was from a Sheep Shed Studio grab bag a few years ago, and it’s a bit thick-and thin, so the texture is definitely crunchier on the edge than the TML in the body.

Only 10 more rows to go -- but I am running out of yarn. ugh.

2/11 Finally I am making progress on this -- after starting and ripping back FOUR TIMES. I kept losing count of what row I was on, and then the third time I cast on just as I was taking off on my flight to AZ last weekend, worked steadily most of the flight, then realized I’d made a mistake right near the beginning, so I unraveled everything I’d done on the flight as we were starting our descent. I’m on row 50 something now. It’s not that hard a pattern, don’t know why it’s cursed for me.
