I based these booties on the Baby Uggs pattern then added the same lace trim pattern round the ankle to create a leaf effect as I used on my baby blanket (see my projects) using smaller needles. To create the strawberries, I used 3mm dpn needles and did the following:

strawberry
co 3 sts in red yarn
row 1: p (then p all odd rows)
row 2: kfb
row 4: ^kfb, k1 - rep from ^ to end
row 6: ^kfb, k2 - rep from ^ to end
row 8: k
row 10: ^k2 tog, k2 - rep from ^ to end
row 12: k2 tog to end
break off yarn, thread through sts

co 14 sts in green yarn
knit 4 rows in stocking stitch
break off yarn, thread through 14 sts and gather, sewing up side edge to make strawberry cap

sew seeds onto your strawberry base using yellow yarn

join strawberry base onto cap

create an i-cord using green yarn and 3mm dpn needles to desired length (I co 3 sts)

attach strawberry to i-cord.
