This is the first project I have taken on for my own baby - my little boy, due in September. I’ve knitted hoodies, booties and toys for other peoples’ babies but nothing for my own little one. I’m going to finish the blanket with a green lace edging which I found on another website http://cache.lionbrand.com/faq/433.htmlto to add a splash of colour and to break up the monotonous pattern. I went for smaller needles than recommended because I like my knitting to be really tight but it HAS meant that the blanket has been time consuming so far.
