Had to take my time with this project due to getting carpal tunnel syndrome in my left hand. Otherwise the cardigan was pretty straight forward and quick to knit. When I started the caterpillar design, I originally knitted individual body segments ready to sew on but they were too bulky. In stead, I knitted the body in garter stitch as a whole piece, increasing and decreasing the edges as I went along and sewing it on afterwards. The face was knitted in stocking stitch. I used fluffy wool called “Eskimo” to create the hairs on his back.
