Not liking how the colors are stacking up, especially since I think it will cause me issues when I join the second ball of yarn. I’m going to frog back to the first row of scales and start alternating between the two balls I have. Not sure yet if I’ll change every row, or every two rows. Normally I don’t like changing colors that often because I hate weaving in ends, but there aren’t that many rows and I think the end result will be worth it.

Almost finished. Just some finishing touches left.
This yarn is driving me crazy. The color changes are short and a couple of colors repeat.

Been procrastinating on this project for 2 months over some buttons.
Originally intended to have five buttons, wound up doing three. Had to move the bottom button up a row because it wouldn’t slide into it’s row due to the decreases. At that point I needed to add a fourth to balance the rows.
The collar kinda pulls up in the back. It also looks very small, even though my guage is larger than the pattern’s. Having the bottom 2 DC rows not button, and pulling the collar high on my neck, helps minimize the pulling and flattens the crocodile section in the back.
NOTES
I added a picot edging to the top.
After finishing the pattern, I added an additional SC row:
(WS) CH 1 and turn. SC in first stitch, DEC, SC across row to last 3 stitches. DEC, SC in last stitch. (2 stitches decreased)
(RS) CH 1 and turn. SLST in first stitch. CH 3 and SLST into first CH. {Make 1 SLST in each of the next 2 stitches. SLST in next stitch. CH 3 and SLST into first CH.} Repeat sections between { } to end of row. Fasten off.
