Notes

A quick and easy pattern. Don’t know why it took me so long to finish.

I blocked the squares after they were finished, then once again after the apron section was constructed.

I decided that I would join the squares by slip stitching them together instead of sewing them. That turned out not to be the best idea. I have big seams running through the back of the apron. I realized that I didn’t save much time and effort by not sewing the squares together.

I made the apron to use it at my son’s birthday party but ended up not using it after all.

Update 6/28/2011

I was just looking at the other finished aprons for this pattern since I had only ever looked at the original pattern and was surprised to see one with a very similar colour palette. I guess I’m not the only person who liked this colour combination. ^__^

Something similar happened with the granny stripe bag I made recently--a project that also happens to uses the same three warm colours as this apron. Kinda weird.
