Row 3: ch 2, turn, dc in first st and next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st. #dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st. Repeat from # across. End with dc in last st and dc on top of ch 2 from prev row. (112 dc)

Row 4: ch 2, turn, dc in first st and next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st. #dc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st. Repeat from # across. End with dc in last st and dc on top of ch 2 from prev row. (131 dc)

Row 5: ch 2, turn, dc in same st and next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st. dc in next 6 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next st. #skip 1, shell (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next st. Repeat from # 17 more times. sk next st, dc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st. (dc in next 6 sts, 2 dc in next st) three times. #skip 1, shell (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next st. Row 7: ch 2, turn, dc in same st and next 17 sts, 7 dc in ch7 sp, dc in next 31 sts, 7 dc in ch7 sp, dc in next 18 sts. (81 dc)

Row 8: ch 2, turn, dc in same st. Shell in next 7 shells, shell in middle st of 3dc from prev row, shell in next 14 shells, shell in middle st of 3dc from prev row, shell in next 7 shells. End with dc in last st and dc on top of ch 2 from prev row. (30 shells)

Row 9-?: ch 2, turn, dc in same st, shell in ea st across. End with dc in last st and dc on top of ch 2 from prev row. Repeat until you reach the desired length, then perform the last row as stated in the pattern.
