Typical “free” blog pattern long on pop-up ads, short on adequately descriptive instructions. Good thing the kid probably won’t care.

Didn’t have green chenille so I used doubled up cotton/poly worsted.

Did the face “my way” - with crocheted solid black almond-shaped eyes and stitched on a v-shaped beak/mouth …. Oriented differently than suggested in pattern (which has top of head at the top of the ball-shaped cranium). Poor thing would always be facing ceiling or floor instead of forward (like a real turtle!)

Am I being too picky?
