Took a few tries to get needle size worked out… also had to add a plain knit row to the foundation shawl to start the edging on the correct side…. not sure where I messed up - maybe at the very beginning?. Now, hoping 3 skeins will be enough. They are 2x the size of currently manufactured Provence? A thrift store gem!!!

Yay… started 3rd skein at about the 2/3 point of the border panel… So relieved at not having to play yarn chicken with this one. The mercerized cotton is kinda stiff - but hoping that a wash or two will make it a little drapy-er. Crossing fingers for the Magic Blocking Goddess to bless me with some yarn karma.

Other than the dropped stitch, so happy with how this looks! Have had the pattern set forever - but never the right yarn… It’s all I expected and more! Hoping steam blocking will help correct minor assymetry in beginning/end (right/left tips are NOT the same… not sure why this bothers me!) and the persisting curl of the outside edge. Finally, a Cotton Shawl so that I can ‘accesorize’ during North Carolina Summers.
