Really cute and easy to follow pattern. I made my own eyes by using size 10 crochet thread and 1.65mm hook

With black thread
MR, sc 8 , and used an invisible close

With white thread, I slip stitched through the back loop of 4 stitches

Then attached eyes. I’m thinking I could have applied them a bit closer together though
