I got the email that the kindergarten class was making arts and crafts themed raffle basket on wed night, oct 7th.

I had to volunteer to make this scarf for the basket since this is my only childs first year in the school and I couldnt resist. I immediately thought of this pattern because the schools mascot is a Gator.

so I emailed the class moms to be sure if they wanted finished crafts or supplies, they responded on thursday evening and i got the yarn. Easy peasy simple superwash since im making this for a child. My boss donated the yarn, which was so nice of her.

Did I mention they want all items for the basket sent to school with the kids on monday morning…. this monday, the 12th.

I downloaded the pattern on friday morning, the 9th and cast on that afternoon. Everything else, including my Rhinebeck hat project is on hold!

so I finished in time…. this is a really fun pattern. I def want to make the adult one for the teacher.

My mods….I added 4 more rows of scales. This scarf isnt very long. As it is, its toddler size. The adult size would be better for a child 7 and up I would think.

I added 2 scales to the tail section too.
