Notes

These mittens look intimidating but they are so refreshingly different and surprisingly simple. German short rows are the best thing ever! So happy I decided to get over my fear of a 10 page fingerless mitten pattern.

I did go up a half a needle size because of the thicker yarn im using.

I am also thinking of mixing one mitten from this pattern and one from the 8 mitten pattern. Im going for the look of the exploding TARDIS painting from Doctor Who. These mittens go perfectly with the Nerd Girl Yarn Blue Box Exploding colorway.

I had that skein for months in my stash searching for the perfect pattern for it. IMO I found it. Now I just have to start wearing fingerless gloves.

August 11, 2014 - I looked through Sybils patterns are thought the ‘pieces of eight’ mitts would look the best like a swirl.

This pattern is another one that looks intimidating but Sybil breaks everything down and explains everything so well that it is hard to make a mistake. And even though i love my fair isle mittens, she has become my fav mitten designer. The way they are contructed, they just begin to take shape in your hands
