This is part of an ongoing long term project of mine,to create recognisable characters who aren’t available yet in pattern form.
I adapted the Queen of Hearts pattern to make this Aunt Sally, giving her a bonnet, a parasol and a different face. I used bits of plastic containers where necessary for stiffening, such as inside the bonnet and the base of the skirt and improvised the parasol using my favourite cotton buds as spokes.
Her good friend, Worzel Gummidge will be next….
