Finally put the finishing touches to my Polly Plum square-eyed blanket, which felt like a separate project! I do get carried away with borders, as each round changes the effect of the previous one, and of the whole, and I find that endlessly fascinating… my heart keeps saying “just one more” and my head says “stop!!!”.

The border is 16 rounds including two starting rounds in the joining colour (mocha) for symmetry - I used experimental patterns in every round except the last, making sure that I kept the stitch count correct and balanced each pattern repeat so that the corners worked out.
