Notes

Designing myself some NZ inspired gloves using some Danish yarn. The colours I bought as samples kicked off a desire to knit something ferny, I’m hoping I can get a pair of small mitts out of the two 25 gr skeins. I decided to design something so will probably be ripping things back a few times to get it just right

I’ll be posting about my design process in my blog if you are interested.

Finished! and I have yarn left over. I’ll weigh it all out later to figure out the final amounts. But as they say, no rest for the wicked (ly fantastic) I’m casting on a second pair with a couple of changes to see which I prefer. This time I’m knitting them in wollmeise because I want to check on how they behave in a thicker more solid fingering weight yarn. I’m also thinking about using some lace weight yarn, single for the lacey cuff and doubled for the body of the mitt.
