I wanted to try color work but didn’t want to feel compelled to keep it once it was finished (especially if it stunk). Hence: colorful / slightly indecent deer.

I used and modified a color chart at Tricksy Knitter which can be found here.

Yay: I didn’t have any trouble reading the chart or keeping up with the color repeats within each round. It definitely looks like two deer (for better or worse). Even better, it actually looks nice.

Boo: Though it looks awesome, it is totally unwearable. When I carried my second color over I apparently did it too tightly because it refuses to stretch over any adult sized head. And I refuse to gift this to my 11 year old nephew.
