I began this project with full intention to create the sweater with the hood included. However, I had a huge setback and wasn’t able to knit anything for well into 2025. ( broken wrist requiring surgery)

Once I picked up this project again, I realized there was no way that I would be able to finish this before the intended receiver was still a toddler!

I have knit several of the patterns in the Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino Pattern book and have been very pleased with the results. However, this pattern presented several challenges for me. Striping using the fine yarn took forever! Another area was the shape, too boxy in my opinion. I persevered and when it came time for the shoulders I wasn’t happy with the possible joining of the front and the back. I searched the completed projects and found several that used a three needle bind off. I also appreciated the guidance on knitting stripes ( missing from the pattern itself).

When it came to finishing, I devised a collar for the sweet and the opening in the front. it’s not as I would have liked but I felt it will allow for an easy pullover.
