This pattern requires two soles sandwiched on top of each other. For the inside sole, I wanted a very soft cotton. I used “I Love This Cotton” from Hobby Lobby in dark brown. I made the chain ties with a size 3.0 hook. Also, I wanted the booties to be slightly larger than the largest size offered in the pattern, so I went with a 4.0 hook instead of the size required. My 4.0 hook said F, but this site shows the 4.0 as being a G.
