This was my first attempt at gloves or mittens of any kind. I think Janis Cortese’s method for making the mitten shell is ingenious. I love this style of glove so will be using again.

Pattern makes for a glove with plenty of positive ease, and I have quite big hands.

A note on the yarn- it is really hardwearing! I treat these mitts pretty roughly and they have survived nearly two years of daily wear throughout winter with no signs of holes appearing.
