Notes

For Christmas, my auntie requested a pair of fingerless gloves that would be “as lairy as possible”. Lairy is a slang word from the 90s that basically means loud. I decided to use up some partial sock yarn balls that I have lying around and use bold stripes to try and achieve the effect she wants.
I won’t make the mitten shell for these gloves, so they’re knitting up very quickly.
I made a few changes to the pattern, knitting on 3.25mm needles rather than 2.75mm to makes them go slightly quicker. I cast on 4 fewer stitches to balance this change.
I decided not to enclose the thumb as my aunt wants to use these for driving but found the thumb way too baggy so I increased 1 fewer stitch in the thumb gusset and also cast on 1 fewer.
