Notes

This is my third Peach Fuzz, made this time to fit my youngest daughter. It’s about a size 2T. I made the button band smaller than her sister’s (2 buttons - 8sts).

The front and back are worked over 65 sts. 12 sts for the left shoulder, 8 sts for the button band, 25 sts for the neck and 20 sts for the right shoulder.

I started with the front and worked the buttonholes on the 3rd row (work in rib for the first 12 sts then (ktbl, p1, K2tog tbl, yo) 2X then back to ribbing til the end of the row).

I worked the ribbing for 1.5”, then worked the short row shaping 2 times. I worked the front yoke until I reached 4” total length from cast on.

To work the back, I started by casting on 8 sts for the button band and knitted that in garter st for about 5/8” then cut the yarn. I picked up 20 sts from the right shoulder of the front piece, cast on 25 sts for the neck, knitted the 8 sts of the button band and picked up 12 sts from the left shoulder.

The button band goes under the front, the outer edge of it will be sewn under the front piece and buttons will be added at the end.

I then proceeded to knit the back exactly the same way as the front.

Once back and front were completed, I joined in the round and knitted a couple rows before switching to the next colour.

I knitted the contrasting body for 7” then switched back to the first colour for the split hem. It is worked exactly as is in the book.

For the sleeves, I picked up 42 sts across. I adjusted the stripes from my previous version so each colour block is 11 rows long - the length of the sleeves is perfect. Because I’m making this 2T, I worked only 5 stripes instead of 7. I’ve worked 1 decrease row in each of the last 3 stripes, for a total of 8 sts decreased (36 sts across the wrist).

I love this set of matching sweaters!
