Notes

Worked over 35 sts (11 repeats + 1 edge st on each side)

I’ve tried dyeing this yarn before and it really didn’t work out well. After trying to use it for a few different projects without success, I decided to make this very simple fringed scarf, and over-dye it. Hopefully it’ll turn out good, since it would be such a waste to not use such a soft and squishy yarn!

Soaked the scarf in a water/vinegar mixture for about an hour, then proceeded to dip dye it.

I brought to a boil 2 quarts of water with a 1/2 cup of vinegar, then added some food coloring (I used Wilton’s food coloring gel, a mix of sky blue and black).

I folded the scarf in two, and started dipping from the fringe ends. The food dye broke down a bit but I’m pretty satisfied with the result. The ends turned out a deep blue/purple color transitioning slowly to a sky blue in the middle.
