Notes

Worked flat through sole and heel flap and gusset, instep to toe in the round. Toe is grafted with Kitchener stitch.

Swatching in 2.25mm needle

Cast on without blocking swatch, as it did not change much in the Esk slippers.

02-08-2024

I knit an extra 2 rows before starting the chart. I have done the 10 repeats of arch shaping, and 12 repeats gusset decreases, sole seems to be fitting ball of foot, so moving on with rest of instep.

Sole length now 12.25 cm

14-08-2024

Did the decrease row at the beginning of 9th chart repeat to join in the round.

12-03-2025

Pulled back most of last repeat of pattern before toe, and reknit starting the toe decreases earlier. Bound off final 26 stitches using Finches graft method. Cast on s
2nd slipper.

15-03-2025

Finishing the major part of decreases (gusset) , and about to halve frequency of decreases for the instep.
