Notes

The Bamboo Jazz is almost same weight as the linen, but row guage is off and taking needle size down one size to 3.5 mm for durability. Added 16 more stitches to cast on. Have knit 5 cm, row guage way out, but stitch guage is close.

As I have 2 balls, I will be adding extra 2 inches to pattern before shaping for handle, to get about 12 % bigger bag. First ball ran out at 8.5 inches, I have knit tube to 9.5 inches from cast on. Ready for shaping.

15-02-2024

Changing strap stitch count to k17 (36 instead of 32) and binding off more stitches (23 on each side) in between for bigger opening. Knit 6 inches of the 1st strap, will measure when I get to 12 inches, to see if I am ready to Kitchner the strap to live stitches on hold.

18-02-2024

Cast off by removing provisional cast on and Russian seaming with 3.5 mm crochet hook from the inside, and I have crocheted an edge stitch through 2nd stitch of straps and cast off edges of body to tightened and stiffen the edges.
