I intend to use up the majority of the Whales Road colourway, will judge when to do finishing border on the use of the 25 gm ball of Alpaca Rhythm. I am going for a generously sized light shawl

Put in another repeat while other wips drying, another 2.5 grams of the contrast used, and 1st skein of main is 61 grams left.

51% of main colour 1st skein used, and completed lace repeat 10 in row on 28th June.

Unblocked - Border edge 80 cm, working edge 65cm. 71.5gms main and 5.5 gms of lacewight used. The 2nd skein of Whales Road (main) is more purple than blue in variegation.

Faded in the new skein of main and left 10 gms of lighter skein left for use in border. Border now 99 cm long and 18 gms of alpaca left.
Finished adding 14th lace repeat with just the new skein. On 5th July, 2nd skein of main is 20 gms used.

Made it to18 lace repeats with 26 gms of the 2nd skein of main left. Will do 24 rows of chart, and start the border.

Started the border with 16.7 gms of main left.

Reintroduced end of 1st skein of main on row 10 of border after garter edge, did 4rows of pattern using 3.5 gms, returned to darker skein to reverse colour change.

Not doing a sewn bind off in Alpaca, substituting the alternating cable cast off for my bind off, after 2 rows of 1 x 1 rib in the alpaca. Happy with the result, need to take post blocking guage, misplaced tape measure.
