Race For Life is cancer’s worst nightmare!

I’m crocheting this Shawl for my Race For Life walk.

I’m not into skull but I’m hoping this will be appropriate for my walk!

As I don’t like joining motif, I’ve crochet the all in one skulls, (Alternative Pattern). I’ve hand-drawn a chart which is much easier to follow!

Today the 15th, I’m already on my 10th skull ^_^
By coincidence this shawl will fit nicely in this week Weekly Challenge!
My scarf have 21 skulls! For my last row instead of chain 9 I’ve only crochet 2 chain. So the whole top row is 4 dc and ch 2.
On the last row DO NOT cut yarn but continue with edge below.

S/F May 18th Inspired by this lady’s Shawl, I’m making a scallop edge as well. See 4th picture on the left. My first time making tassels, turn out fine!

Now it’s completed I love my Shaw. Huge thank you to Majkis, I really enjoyed crocheting it! It was fun to see each skulls popping-up before I even finished one!!

I was still worried about wearing this shawl for my Race for Life but my good friend reassured me it’s in good taste in her following post below,

cancer kills and the skulls represents this, the pink represents hope and remembrance of those lost.
