Made this extra large as Dexter is a cat of size. :) I cast on about 200 stitches and instead of the sides being 8 rows high, I made them about 16 or so. I also attached the side part to the bottom with a crochet chain.

This was a great project for stash busting. I will be making another one for Lucy. Dexter had been stalking this all night. I guess at some point right before I stuffed the sides it started to look like a cat bed. I still had about 4 inches left to join on the side when he hopped in it and looked very offended that I was still touching it.

I’m also really happy. He hopped out of this bed and went to his other bed to hump it. I was a little worried that he’d try to hump this one as he has gotten over friendly with a skein of Lion Homespun before. LOL
