Started for Ravellenics 2016, frogged near the beginning.
Re-started on March 22, 2017.

A stockinette stitch rectangle with eyelet borders so they don’t roll.

Eyelet pattern:
PM 7 sts before the end of a right side row.
Row 1: k1, YO, ssk, k2, YO, ssk, k to M, k1, k2tog, YO, k2, k2tog, YO, k1.
Row 2: purl.
Row 3: k2, k2tog, YO, k to M, k3, YO, ssk, k2.
Row 4: purl.

Border pattern:
PM 2 sts before half (after 33 sts on RS, 37 on WS).
Row 1: k1, (yo, ssk, k2) 8 times, SM, yo, ssk, k2tog, yo, (k2, k2tog, yo) 8 times, k1
Row 2: purl.
Row 3: (k2, k2tog, yo) 9 times - that is 3 sts past M - k2, (yo, ssk, k2) 8 times.
Row 4: purl.

Divide light yellow yardage in half (one ball is partially used, the other is new).
Divide pink ball in half.

Provisional CO 70 sts.
Work main part in Eyelet pattern with golden yellow first, when it’s finished with first half of lighter yellow, then with first half of pink.
Make last 6-8 rows (probably after 1 or 1,5 repeats of Eyelet pattern in pink) in Border pattern.
BO.

Undo provisional CO and continue in Eyelet pattern (beginning with row 2), first with light yellow then with pink.
Work the border as for the other end.
BO.

I also made double buttons, like cufflinks, to fasten using eyelets as buttonholes. This way I can move them to my liking and use this wrap in different ways: closed in a loop as a cowl, fastened in front as a shawl or a capelet, or make sleeves and wear it as a shrug.
Besides, buttons are in two colors so I can choose the one that better matches the outfit or the mood!

Rettangolo a maglia rasata con bordi traforati perché non si arrotolino.

Dividere la lunghezza del giallo chiaro a metà (un gomitolo è nuovo e l’altro usato in parte).
Dividere il rosa a metà.

Avvio provvisorio 70 maglie.
Lavorare la parte principale col motivo a traforo (Eyelet pattern), dapprima usando il giallo oro, quando è finito con la prima metà del giallo più chiaro, quindi con la prima metà del rosa.
Fare gli ultimi 6-8 ferri (probabilmente dopo 1 o 1,5 ripetizioni del motivo a traforo in rosa) col punto del bordo (Border pattern).
Chiudere il lavoro.

Riprendere dall’avvio provvisorio e continuare col motivo a traforo (iniziando dal ferro 2), prima col giallo chiaro e poi col rosa.
Fare il bordo come dalla parte opposta.
Chiudere il lavoro.

Ho anche realizzato dei doppi bottoni, stile gemelli da camicia, da allacciare usando i trafori del bordo come asole. In questo modo posso spostarli a piacimento e usare il butta-su in tanti modi: chiuso ad anello come un collo, allacciato davanti come uno scialle o una mantellina, o creare delle maniche per portarlo come coprispalle.
Tra l’altro, i bottoni sono bicolori per poter scegliere la tinta che più si abbina all’abito o all’umore!
