Stopped timing myself on this project b/c it was stressin me out.

Made 4 bags.
All in a style similar to americancrochetassociation’s Tassel Tote; interchanging stripes of sc and an accent st.

All start with a round, sc base; sc 6 in mr > inc to 72st over 12 rnds.
*Then 2 rnds of accent st.
Then 3-4 rnds of sc.*
* repeat until desired height, ending with a sc stripe.

For the top edging I followed allaboutami’s Rosette Drawstring instructions for the sm. bag. Starting at placing the st markers after Rnd27. & continuing with Rnd28. Though in Rnd28 I chained 3 instead of 2 for the drawstring holes.
I followed the Rosette pattern all the way to completing bag with the crab st edge.

I will be using 4mm macrame rope for the drawstrings. Cut to 128”. I was aiming for cross-body length, for mid-plus size bodies. These are all gifts, so I opted for probably longer then they need to be, ,figuring they can always be tied/cut later.
(I tried making an icord … it wasn’t happening haha).

The 4 accent sts (1 accent st type per bag) I used are:
1) Cluster V-Stitch : Dc2tog, ch 1, dc2tog. As seen in itchinforsomestitchin’s Seaglass Bag pattern

3) Staggered DC Pairs : Which I found in thecrochetfox’s Stitch Library.

4) Puff Stitch : As seen on mypicot’s site, which is more like a 5st-cluster stitch.
