Cut denim base of 16x14 folded raw edges to about 14x12 and cut holes with skip blade. Crocheted first round of hdc with 3.25 hook.

I hook. Second round with thicker yarn worked in back and third loop leaving front loop unworked.

I don’t think there is enough variation in thicknesses of my yarn because the thinner yarn stitches were hiding too much of the thicker yarn so I decided to work the thinner yarn with a ch 1 and into every other thicker stitch rather than every stitch.

Fist seven rounds I used an I hook but switched to H for tighter stitches.

12 rounds with gray yarn.

8 rounds of multi yarn. Still not tall enough

Last rounds with three worsted worked together.

Starting second basket. Going to use an H for second round rather than I.

Used plastic canvas for side stability. Only thing new purchased for this project. I tried some other items I already had but they were not big enough.
