This wasn’t a full skein as it was part of the donated yarn for the Hugger Hats group I’m part of. So when I ran out I found some white yarn without a label to finish the last row and to close the crown of the hat.

The video I watched and the page I read said nothing about this only needing one strand instead of the usual two strands you usually use with the loom. That may have been why my hat didn’t look as slouchy and stretchy as the lady on the YouTube’s.

The way I was taught to do the loom was working from right to left whereas the instructor on the tube worked the other way. I went ahead and did it my way and found it difficult to make the first step of the three-step stitch. So I am making another of these hats HER way to see how that turns out.

That sweet baby blue slouch was the same pattern. This time, I used Bernat Baby Coordinates in Soft Blue. I figure that if it is soft enough for a baby a person just needing some extra soft in their own lives might just like this one, too. I loved working with this yarn!
