Jan 26 Using multiple colour ways of Caron Cakes, starting with Mixed Berry. Plan to let colours change as they will but may change my mind depending how it looks as I go.

Jan 29 Frogged back round 14 twice - still not working. Not happy with colour changes naturally occurring partway through rounds - looks funny and makes it hard to track rounds. Gave in and frogged all the way back to end of round 8, cut pink and started new blue colour at round 9 start instead of letting it happen partway through. Cut blue and started light blue at beg. of round 12. Looks much better with colour changes at beginning of rounds.

Jan 31 Used stitch marker at end of pattern repeat for sequences in more complex rows, moved from one to next. Helped a lot with keeping pattern straight. Light purple and dark pink self-transitioned in sc rows - left them alone as it didn’t affect overall look negatively.

Feb 2 Finished first skein of Mixed Berry. Started new skein of Berries and Cream on Round 28. Letting transitions happen naturally now as some colour runs don’t even make a full round in this skein. Mid-round changes don’t look as odd now that the rounds are bigger - not as startling.

Feb 3 Up to Round 37 - takes a long time to finish a round now. Really don’t like the single crochet rounds - slow and boring and harder to be sure count stays right.

Feb 4 New skein on Round 39 midway. Didn’t like Blueberry Cheesecake next to Berries and Cream, frogged and switched to Faerie Cake instead.
