In between I had to add another colour as 1 skein of Kornblume would have not been enough.

I like the effect of the double garter (dg) although I’m not to sure if it is kind of a trap for tiny baby fingers. Skipped the buttonhole row, as dg is flexibel enough for 2 cm-buttons and offers the possibility to use different closing positions as shown on the picture. I worked only the base dg with the bigger needle, the cuffs and front border were done with the regular needle for the body - liked that optic and haptic better.

Alltogether a well written pattern but you have to be carefull with the dg as mistakes can only be adjusted immediately.
