Notes

I was going to try a poseable head. But Stomper kept trying to pull the head off, so I sewed it on.

I accidentally knit the clothes with needles one size too big so the clothes are quite roomy. Going to sew up the legs to make a sleeper. I will sew buttons on later so that the clothes can be removed, but I didn’t think that was such a great idea for a baby.

Hated the original clothes so much that I decided to make a dress. I am using inspiration from three other patterns.

Notes/Recipe for The Dress:
You will need 4 stitch markers & a top down cable pattern. I used one from the Milo pattern. The sleeve bind off came from the Claudine Dress pattern.

CO 30 stitches using larger needles join for knitting in the round
Starting with neckline:
Round 1: p
Round 2: k
Round 3: p placing markers: p7, place marker, p2, place marker, p14, place marker, p2, place marker, p7
Round 4: increase: k to 1 stitch before maker kfb, sm, kfb, (repeat across round so that 8 stitches increased every round)
Round 5: p
repeat last rounds 4 & 5 until between markers there are 8 stitches (56 stitches total)

Make Sleeves:
Round 1: k to 1 stitch before marker kfb, remove marker, picot bind off the stitches between the markers]1, {may need to take 1 stitch after marker}, remove marker, k to 1 stitch before marker kfb, remove marker, picot bind off the stitches between the markers, remove marker, k to end (40 stitches) I ended up with 40 stitches because I took 1 stitch from the front and back panels
Round 2: k to gap, co 2 stitches, k to gap, co 2 stitches (44)
Round 3: k
Round 4: decide where you want your cable to fall. I choose the center of the front. Make sure that the cable is a top down cable. I choose a 10 stitch cable from the Milo Vest pattern. knit across round starting your cable as your pattern directs.

Knit to desired length. I knit until I ran out of yarn. You could knit it dress length and not make the ruffle if you wanted.

End with Garter Stitch for in the Round:
Round 1: p
Round 2: k
Round 3: p
Round 4: Bind Off

Ruffle:
flip up hem and pick up 44 stitches at bottom edge one or two rows in. Don’t worry if you pick up a few extra or a few less. Pick up stitches in the same direction that you knit the piece to ensure that you are on the RS.

increase in every stitch across all stitches with kfb (88)

Knit to desired length. I kept trying it on the doll. End with the above mentioned Garter Stitch for in the Round
