This is the second test of this pattern for me. I decided to try this yarn because it feels slightly lighter than the Patons Classic Wool.

10/11/10 The first mitt is done. It is very slightly smaller than the mitt made in Patons and fits my 8” hand nicely.

The thumb gusset increase on this mitt looks better than my original one.

I ended up doing the k2, p2 ribbing at the top of the thumb with the knits on the green stripes. The blue stripes recede. The blue and white mitts are the opposite and I think I like that better because the lighter(contrast) color stands out better.
