This is my first official project of 2013….I am making a shawl in crochet, which is also something I havent done in a while. The yarn has been dyed by me! This project I have been eyeing for quite some time. Its really easy. So far no mods, although I am thinking of mod-ing the border, but I will see when I get to that point. This shawl works up very fast.

Update 1/8: I have already completed the indicated amount of repeats as indicated in the project (I think I finished that part by yesterday at least) but I have SO much of this yarn that I’m going until it almost runs out. This shawl is BIG! And its going to get bigger. I love this pattern.

Update 1/9: This is finished. I did it in four days! I think thats the fastest I have ever crocheted anything so big! I ran out of yarn before I could complete the border in full. I was working toward a n All Shawl border, but ran out of yarn by the 1st row. The edging is still pretty so I’m satisfied. I used almost all 850 yards of this colorway! Its blocking now, and blocks out 65’ by 34’. Its pretty big, and probably could be blocked out even bigger, if I had enough room on my dining room table.
