My 9 year old daughter Lillian wanted a new dress for her spring ball at school. The one we picked out has straps that cannot be worn by themselves at school. I had the perfect colors of handspun on hand for this shrug, and a perfect pattern! I used a JulieSpins! braid in red and used some Ashland Bay Merino in purple from Paradise fibers.

This pattern is very easy, I just did some calculations and cast on! So as of today, 3.21, I have knitted the body and cast off. I wove in the ends that I had going, and now I’m about to start on the neck band before I move on to the sleeves. Then the button band and I’m finished! I do have to finish this by tomorrow, 3.22, because thats the day of the dance! I have some work cut out for me but I know I can get it done :)

3.22 - I finished this last night! My baby wore it today very happy, although the button holes were a little big, It was a great success!
