I would guesstimate that this took about 45 hours, start to finish.
While the pattern is clear, there are some stitch-count inconsistencies in the repeats of the body, but nothing that will alter the finished look. It’s just about where you put your end stitch, and how many stitches you have left in a row, before you attach the arch.

The explanation of the “behind and in front” doesn’t make a lot of sense until you get started. The important part is that your yarn should NOT be ‘trapped’ underneath the arches, but flow above, so you can work it on the ‘return row’. If you accidentally trap your yarn it’s not the end of the world, you could cut and reattach, or frog it.

Also mind how your arches weave in and out. I made a mistake and didn’t notice until I was on the return row. had to frog about 1.5 hours of work.
