Did not like the sock I casted on, so decided to make this hat as a swatch for a top-down colourwork sweater.

Contrast is a bit low, especially in artificial light, but I want to use the yarn…

Knitted the brim with 2.5 mm needles, the rest with 3.5 mm Prym ergonomics. Quite like it so far.

Did not grow a lot when blocked, but stitches evened out.
132 stitches is kind of too close-fitting for my 59 cm head, so will go for 144 stitches next time.

Also the contrast could have been stronger, it shows better on camera than in real life. Again used charts from this book »
